2. Mandatory Health & Vaccination Standards: Verified certificates for mandatory vaccinations—including Meningococcal Meningitis and updated health declarations—must be verified prior to travel in accordance with current Saudi Ministry of Health regulations.
3. Financial and Currency Precautions: While digital card payments are universally accepted across shopping malls and pharmacies in Makkah and Madinah, carrying a modest reserve of Saudi Riyals for local transport and incidental charity remains prudent.
4. Footwear and Packing Strategy: Walking distances within the expanded Haram courtyard are substantial. Pilgrims should select comfortable, broken-in, slip-resistant footwear, along with lightweight luggage that complies with airline weight limits.
